Tax breaks drive advanced biotech firms to Manchester

A new business coming to Manchester that plans to be manufacturing hearts and lungs in the Millyard before the end of the next decade may be a sign of more things to come in the Queen City.

New incentives are in place to help the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute get closer to its goal of revolutionizing medicine.

“We’re going to say to people, ‘Hey, you need a new heart? You need a new lung? You need a new kidney? You need a new liver? You need a pancreas?'” said Dean Kamen of ARMI. “We’re going to start manufacturing solutions.”
